| TURBO'S first 1.9 comp venture...
This will be my first attempt at a 1.9 comper..i know...Im late to the party!:-P I ran across a good deal for this little beauty from Montana.matt (great seller). It's a Metal Fume Fabrication mini skunk (belly pan) chassis, the wheels are MSD scaler wheels and are the most pimp little wheels I've ever seen and they are wrapped with Insane Nova's Ark cut'n'shut Cobra tires: Along with this rig, the deal came with a NIB Tekin B1R esc, a Reedy stump puller motor, (2) NIP lipo's and a NIP FUBAR MINI SKEETER chassis kit... I really liked the look and layout of the little tuber, but i just had to try the Mini Skeeter out, so out came the wreches and off came the tuber chassis (prob be a future build). The Fubar Mini Skeeter is a sick little chassis. I had to make new upper links out of 1/4" delrin and I plan on making some delrin lowers & some CF servo/4 link mounts. So far, it's turning out pretty badass and I think it's going to crawl Very very well!!! here it is so far: PIMP!!!!! Last edited by TURBOFEST; 01-19-2010 at 11:32 AM. |

If I can fork up the extra cash for another class, I'm gonna give it a whirl. I have literally never driven a 1.9 rig before...So, motorama as a first comp would be an interesting experience LOL |

Damn that thing looks sweet. You got it before I could. Good luck with it. I might be hittig you up for all the details of the build that you may have left out. I have a bone stock MRC and I think you have the route I want to go. Craig, |

Man that Skunk MRC is what made me want to get a skunk chassis. I even have a picture of thast MRC as my desktop pic. I'm kinda sad to see it's no longer a skunk. I'd offer to buy the chassis off of you but Ecoli just made me a brand new one and it's currently in the mail. Anyways It's a nice looking build thus far, good luck on it. |

As I said I was going to do, I cut out some Carbon Fiber servo/4-link plates for this little rig. They came out pretty nice and added some bling and alot more strength to the mounts. I also mounted a decent servo up front. The front plate extended like the fubar plate to provide a nice home for my RX. upgraded steering is next!! Stay tuned! |

Very nice! Nice mod with the carbon. I have the G3 chassis and am working on some kind of carbon plate to mount the ESC on. 2 questions. What shocks are those? Are those off the shelf wideners or self made? |

That Reedy stump puller (SP19) is a great motor. I ran mine for months on the stock esc without a single problem. I highly recommend it If you can't afford a Novak mongoose. The SP19 has more wheelspeed than the HH mini motor. | |
