Default sand and my new mini

Hey all. New to rock crawling with an rc here and just bought the mini losi yesterday. I read the directions but they do not say a whole lot about sand. I built this awesome sandbox a few years ago for my kids and I am wondering if it would hurt the car to do some crawling over bricks in the sand pit? Any thoughts would be appreciated.

I wouldnt see any problems but if you are worried after you get through use an air compressor (or can of compressed air) to blow off the motor and around the hubs and stuff to be sure.
