I was wondering what mods would be the first to do? im on a limmited budget looking for the most bang for my buck .. to increase climbing performance .. I also have another question on charging the batterys .i have a reedy quazar my pro charger wondering that amps i should charge/discharge 1100-1600nimh at also what my peak adjust setting should be for exp.(5mv/c 30mv/p) .and what the trickle currant should be?? Looking forward to get into the crawling !!! thanks |

The first thing to do is get everything lower. Battery on the front/rear axle, move electronics to the links or axle. It took me awhile to play around with placement but I got everything lower now. Also I found weighting the front wheels helped a lot.

I got real cheap (and light weight) and used double sided tape but it does work. As far as shock relocation, when I cut the battery tray out I just turned the remaining plastic up and it made the shocks higher which lowered the ride. | |

Here is the only picture that shows what I was talking about. You can see the plastic I left after the first cut and all you do is turn it where the shock mount is up. After I turned them up I ran a long zip tie (not pictured) between them to keep their place. |

get a lipo battery, and the mount. it will put the battery and steering servo next to each other, pretty well balanced!

ok i rebuilt the stock shocks.. looks like there were already a internal spacer. ..I added a 1/4 spacer on the outside also and i put 30w oil ... all i had here .. im still not that impressed are you guys running clips on the stock shocks when i pick up the truck the springs extend and there floppin there like a 1/4 in space should i put a clip there to take up the space???? i like the threaded shocks im not gonna buy losi for the reports of them leaking which one would be a wise choice to get the job done?? Tonight i plan on cutting up a old body and gluing it to the upper link to make platforms for my electronics and moving the battery to the front.. |
