Default Lipo questions for MRC

Hi all, I'm new here and even newer to crawling. I have a stock MRC right now, but dont worry, it wont be stock for long. So far what I like about crawling is the parts and fabracation that you can do on your own.

I just have a question on lipos discharge rating for the stock MRC ESC and motor. Will 10c rating be enough? Should I not but a lipo with less than a 10c rating? Should I stick to 20c?

I would go with at least 20c or higher and if you're using the stock esc you will need a lipo cutoff, you can get this at you're local LHS.

there is also a thread in the electronics section that is all about batteries, this is very informative. Hope i was able to help you out

and yeah welcome to you're new addiction

I've been running 900mAh 15C lipos for a few weeks with no problems. FWIW. It should be noted that all my electronics are stock except for a full-size servo.
