got my G2 in today seems like a very good base to start from. chassis is very clean with elec. installed. truck weighs in at 3lbs with body, batt. truck also has ALOT of articulation, more than I'm used to,may have to tune it out a bit. TEKIN B1R esc,H.H. motor,HT HS 645 serco,no bec. stock drive shafts[those have to go] losi threaded alum. shocks, silver springs front, blue rear. V.P. wheels havnt got to drive it yet. eric what you think about the springs, and amount of articulation. Last edited by rock hard; 02-10-2010 at 10:20 PM. |

Looks good. You might want to check that servo wire, it looks like it is pretty close to your pinion J |

Great looking rig, your going to love how this thing drives. As for the springs,I run the same setup on my Mini GC2,Losi alluminum shocks(yes they leak) with Silvers on front and Blues in the rear.I have been very happy with this setup as it has won a few comps and is always in the top 5 in our club.I would limit your shocks some more personally.

ok,some of you may know that I have never really been happy with the brake hold on my mongoose systems. this truck came with the B1R and H.H. mini torque master. heres the scoop the brake hold is much better.I'm more than happy from what I can tell I have not been able to actually hit the rocks, just set up some pillow courses but the B1R holds, while the goose very slowly rolls at times. not everytime, but sometimes. while the B1R held the truck still time after time. that being said. the mini torque master lacks considerably on the power side. could need maintnence.but it lacks both GRUNT&SPEED from what I can tell right now. I will open it up some time next week and give a look see. |

it has full rev. now so maybe that was already done. on the 3s I thought 2s was the max on the B1R? | |

man I dont know why it only says 2s in the main discription. so the way I read the small stuff I dont need hot wire for 3s do I? oh,2s with a larger motor. what about a 400? should be good with 3s you think? but man 3s are so big. my 2s 800's do me great right now. I have a 2s 250mah that will get me through a course. 3s might wake up that motor though. Last edited by rock hard; 02-11-2010 at 11:09 PM. |
