Default Nasty Rumor, The stock esc on the rtr is lipo ready

So I purchased a mini for my son the other day to compliment the other mini my other son has!! Well, with it apparently losi is offering a lipo battery and a servo tray. The dude that sold the setup to me said he thought the esc is lipo ready (meaning it has a cuttoff). I thought that was not the case. Any thoughts on this?

I didn't think it was, but I've supposedly run my parkzone pack all the way down twice and haven't killed it yet for some odd reason.

You CAN run lipo on it. It doesn't have a cutoff so you'll have to either buy an external one or a lipo alarm.

My neighbor and I both run the losi cube lipped with stock electronics, run them until the wheels stop turning...as soon as the wheels stop we charge and go again, hasn't failed either of us yet.

Yikes, all you are doing is cutting your Lipo's service life WAY down.

I try to watch for it to lose power or slow down but it never does, the wheels just stop turning...steering still works but no throttle...

Depending on the model most losi lipos have cutoffs built in...That is why you can use those in it without worrying.

According to Losi's paperwork I got with my MRC's Li-Po, the battery does NOT have any circuitry to protect it from over-discharge.

Last night my truck just stopped with no power to anything, so I hooked me battery to the charger expecting to have ruined it but it still showed 6.6 which is still safe. Once charged plugged it in and everything is fine, made me wonder if it had a cutoff in it.
