Default Aluminum tranny gears

So my mrc makes quite a bit of growling noise from the transmission probably due to gears that don't fit well, I'm sure most other people's do the same. Has anyone put in the aluminum gears and noticed much difference?

Try adjusting the gear mesh - if it's not right it can make the rig quite noisy. I've actually not heard any complaints about loud MRC trannies, but there are always acceptions.

I've upgraded to lots of aluminum parts, but the only "extra" metal I've put in my tranny is the center locker.

I also have alumm gears in the trans. Went with these ones http://www.hobbyetc.com/cgi-bin/item.cgi?part_id=47137 with bearing grease in there to help with lube and noise.

square cut gears is the reason thay whine just like the timing gears in a race car it is amplified cuz the gears are metal now just lube them well you will get used to the noise plastic absorbed most of the noise before aluminum dosen't absorb the noise as well i just upgraded mine last night
