Default No oil in shocks

Anyone ever drain the oil out of the factory losi shocks and have good results?

Mine leak pretty good, thought I would get rid of the oil and see what happens.

I'm pretty sure mine are empty because I haven't went through them yet since new, and they leaked from the start. They are not really smooth. I'm trying to decide if its worth going working on these shocks or just get ones that actually work.

get new ones. I suggest vendettas as will most others. Also yeah racing/RCbros are nice (i am running them) just not ultra smooth and have a huge body on them. I am going vendettas as soon as i finish my daughters truck. On the topic of no oil... I will prob run my daughters beater like that if the aluminum losis dont hold up which im sure is the case.

On my OE shocks, I flipped them upside down so the leaky side was on top = no more leaking. After I upgraded to Losi aluminum shocks, I never filled with oil and have had good results. I think you only need oil for racing or anything with fast suspension movement. For slow crawling, I don't see the advantage of oil.

i have the losi aluminum threaded shocks and after about a week of having them they leaked and i replaced all the seals and a week later they still leak im going to try some sylicone glue on the bottom threads and see it that helps but ive been running them for almost a year with no oil and they do just fine with out oil

I put new shocks on they all leaked I refilled the rear shocks ( they havent leaked yet again) and left the front shocks empty and I love the way it handles now with no front oil.
