Thanks. They're 7.4V 900mAh heli batteries Just search "mystery 900mAh" on Ebay, I found a place in the USA that had them for about $16 shipped for a pair. They work great, even with my Mongoose system!

That looks good. The wheels and tires are so scale that it's incredible.

Default L trail chassis

I am currently building a scale rig using a L trail chassis and a MRC as the donor powertrain. And yes the Tamiya jeep will work perfect on the L trail. I was concidering using it myself until I ran across the Land rover pickup That i'm using. Anyways good luck.

Got one under my samurai. But I cut about 1" out of the center to make it work. Don't have any pics of just the chassis, but here are some of the whole truck. You can see where the patch is.

Do you have the body yet? If so is what is the wheelbase? I am planning my Scaler build and this is the only body i like. With that said i want to comp cut the rear and get tube fenders on the front just to do it so i just want to make sure the WB is truly 9.5ish? Also start a build thread when you get all the parts cant wait to see it. Are you going 1.55s or 1.9s?

I just ordered the TCS L-Trail chassis kit , and a Co worker is giving me a set of 1.9 rock crawler style wheels that he didn't use for his build so I just need a few more parts, which are Tamyia YJ body, Tamyia bodymounts, Snorkel, and tires that resemble MTR's . I'll attempt to build bumpers and sliders myself

Here's what I'm trying to get the finished product to look like :

I got my chassis in the mail today Man this thing is nice I need to get some 6mm spacers, and some screws. I also have 2 pairs of Hpi vintage wheels. I just need to get the Body and wheel wideners and It'll be closer to being finished

I used 2-56 all-thread and some aluminum tubing from the hardware store that fit over it fairly well for the lower links; the braces are 4-40 all-thread and some larger ID tubing. I think the local Hobbytown had the tubing too. It's in my build thread here. BTW, you'll need 8mm spacers, NOT 6mm like TCS says. :? Trust me on that one.
