Honestly just drive it for a while they way it is. Then when you make a change to it you will be able to see the difference good or bad. First I would take a look at the beginners guide thread stickied at the top of the forum list for the MRC a few posts above this one, then the ultimate MRC thread, and go from there. Do the free or cheap mods in the beginners guide, like get rid of the battery tray and relocate the battery to the top of the servo, move the electronics to a plate on the links or rear axle. The wheel conversion to beadlocks. Limit your shocks a little bit. Stuff like that, but definitely run a battery or two through it first to see how it runs now, and then come and make a change or two and go back and run it again and see what difference it made. That is probably the best way to learn. Then just upgrade things you either don't like or would like to be better, or as they break, and as your budget allows. Have fun and enjoy these little guys are a blast, as is this hobby in general. Edit: Oh and Happy Birthday! Last edited by mhuffman_81; 02-26-2010 at 11:04 PM. Reason: Afterthought |
