Default GC3 Live Build

if you guys are board please feel free to drop in and take a look at a build i'll be doing all day today.

i'm going to swap my slingshot chassi'd 1.9 to a GC3.


the feed will be on as i work on it. and from time to time i will need to get away from the build to do other things.

so please be warned this will not be a fast build.

GC3 Chassis
Losi Late Model Shocks with rod end mod
Losi MRC Stock Springs
1.9 Rovers
1.9 CI Foams
1.9 Vanquish LH's
Hitec 5955 servo
Novak Mongoose system
3s lipo
all Losi Aluminum Upgrades
Spektrum RX
etc.....

i ran into a problem with the screws for the skid. on stripped. i need to find a replacement for it..

quick tip:
before mounting the skid, use a 3mm tap and tap the srew holes about halfway into the skid. that will make the screws go in alot easier.

Your skid holes are not drilled correctly from the factory. They should be through holes and no need to be tapped.

thanks.. they were drilled all the way through.

i tapped to make it easier to start the 3mm screw.


i also had binding issues with the skid and non flanged ball ends. i used some flanged ends and one nut in between instead of the two.

i'll get pics in a bit.

i did the rodend mod to the short late model losi shocks so i could use them with this chassis..

What I mean is the holes are supposed to be "through" holes. The screws should pass through the holes not thread into them.

What a great idea, your gc3 is the twin of mine, same wheels, esc, motor I even think we have the same servo! Mine is not a Texan though!
