the stock mrc motor is noisy, is the "torque mini master" as loud as the stock one?

yes,I have 4 types of motors and all are fairly equal as far as "noise" goes.

hmm...ı gotta find a way to solve this, cause ı like the chassis and design of the mrc, its only the noise that ı dont like. (ı have put some grease in the transmission but this didnt help much) It would be solved to use a 540 size 45t integy or tekin motor, but ı think to make a motor plate for that is not possible, cause there is not enogh place around the transmission to fit the motor.

ı really would like to have a 1/18 with a 540 motor. but as far as ı know there isnt such a model in the market at present.
the closest to it is, ı think, the "Cen 16me"(a mountain truck).

Brushless isn't any quieter than the stock motor. I'm pretty sure the noise you're hearing is from the drivetrain, not the motor.

If you manage to squeeze a 540 in it, it'll be a lot quieter...but only because the drivetrain will grenade right away! :-P

Are you driving this thing in a nursery around sleeping babies? I've seen a couple of people post about MRC noise and I don't get it.

Good luck quieting it down though.

well, not that but the sound it makes is annoying to me, it is as if the mrc is nervous, not at ease even when not climbing, and I am using it mainly at home so it is easier heard. and also am used to tekin fx-r with 45 and 55t motor that is very quiet. would be lucky to get rid of the sound

Get a smaller pinion if its to fast. My pinion on my comp rig smoothed out some of the sound well that and proper gear mesh. The MRC based scaler i have sounds like a tank though.

Make sure you have proper gear mesh between the spur and the pinion.

What radio are you using? If it has exponential, turn it up so you get better slow speed resolution.

you can run a 400 puller. some guys have even used the 454 in the 2.2's
so that is a option. I hear they have alot of torque and speed.
the 16t 400 puller I think is whats used in the mrc.

This is what I was going to say.

Most of the noise you are hearing is from the drivetrain. You just have to deal with it. It doesn't mean anything bad or good. It's just a property of the driveline design.
