Default rock hard's mini moonbuggy

I got my little T1E today, first thing I did was weigh it.Now if you know me,you know I cant leave well enough alon sometimes.I plan to try to shed a few more grams from it still, mostly up top.I notilced the lines were very clean, and I especially like the recessed skid for the trans.

I also picked up a few goodies form TCS for this truck.I want it to be a real performer, and these are a must in any mrc IMO.

hot racing alum trans gears from TCS

super light hot racing alum diff lockers from TCS
http://www.tcscrawlers.com/Hot-Racin...8-p-17250.html

wide alum. hot racing 12mm hex's from TCS
http://www.tcscrawlers.com/Hot-Racin...8-p-17416.html

If you dont own a set of wideners, you need to order some NOW.There is no reason not to own a set at this price, again from TCS

I'll be driving my slingshot more than likely.I dont have all my parts yet, mostly electronics. And it takes me the better part of a day to complete the underdive mod.

But I would love to drive the wedge next comp.

Looking good Paul.

I can tell you that you'll need to order some spares for those HR diff lockers. I kill the small one pretty frequently. When you start to see that wheel (IIRC, it's the passenger side) start to have more play than the other, the locker is about to die. My passenger wheel will rotate about 1/4 of a turn right before the locker goes out.

I didnt know rcbros made a mrc locker. The steel locker from losi is most common. The only problem is its just the guts, its housed in plastic.
the alum locker has never given me any issues. The alum locker is cleaner, lighter and a better chioce to carry the bearing IMO than the stock plastic.

I have RC Bros but now I'm a little concerned after reading JeremyH's comment about the aluminum lockers. Guess I'll have to order a couple extras.

I am sure that the RCBros locker is a much higher quality aluminum than the HR. HotRacing isnt known for their quality and strength. RCBros makes an aluminum locker for the berg that seems to hold up very well.....so I am sure that their locker for the MRC is of the same quality.
