Default Servo strength

Ok guys I've searched but can't find the info. What is the minimum oz/in rating for a 1/10 servo in comp MRC?

what ever your budget can afford really. i started out with a jr z590m which buts out like 80oz torque but now iam running a jr st126mg which puts out 145oz torque and lots of guys run a hitec 645mg. other guys are running some in the 300 range and some in the 400 range.

Well you start out with a stock truck. Add some weight to the tires, then some bigger tires, softer foams, and before you know it the thing won't steer especially in the rocks.
I run a Hitec 7954HS 330 oz @ 6 v. It runs about $100 but you won't be dissapointed. Just be sure to use a Castle Creations BEC to power the servo or it will overload the built in BEC in your ESC unless you have a Novak Rooster or something like that.
I run with some guys that use sronger steering servo's than mine but none weaker.

The HS645MG puts out 133oz at 6 volts. Most look for over 100oz in an aftermarket servo, either full size or micro. I would recommend running a CC BEC though some don't think it necessary. Metal gears are also a must have.

I bought an HS645MG but before I got it installed I got a bargain on an HS5955TG which puts out 333oz at 6 volts which should be bullet proof.

Hope this helps.

I have ran a ht 645 for over a season.No worries from the servo,no need for a bec either with a 645.
No bec keeps your rats nest smaller and weight lower.

I like torque!! I run a JR 8711 on mine. A good servo is worth its money.

Thanks guys for the info, my wife would like a MRC so I"m trying to figure out how much I'm going to have to spend to build one.
