Anyone running the Mamba Micro Pro? I'm getting ready to do a build on my mini and want a good ESC with plenty of adjustability. Give me your thoughts.

Micro Pro is a good esc. You can go with the Micro sidewinder (mamba25) instead. Plenty of adjustabilty and alot smaller than the pro. |

X2 on the Sidewinder as an alternative, it has exactly the same adjustability as the Pro and a much smaller footprint which may be important depending on what you plan to build. It has a slightly larger footprint than the CC BEC but is a little flatter. Pic shows yellow circling the ESC, the blue the BEC. It's also cheaper . Many people on here run the Pro and will likely tell you why they do. This link should help too Castle Creations ESC tip thread(brushed) Last edited by neiloid1; 12-07-2010 at 12:29 PM. i have the micro pro and a novak mongoose. i run the micro pro with mr. holmes brushed motor on my mrc and the mongoose esc/18.5 brushless on my gf's mrc. the pro has a heat sink,as does the mongoose,i dont see one on the sidewinder. ive never ran the mini sidewinder,so i dont know if overheating is a issue. im sure either one will handle your needs. price is only difference i see. http://www.castlecreations.com/produ...micro_pro.html http://www.castlecreations.com/produ...der_micro.html |

I run a mamba 25 which is basically a sidewinder and castle has kept updating the software and kept it current and I see NO reason to run anything more in one of these. I think the Pro is overkill. I use to use these in a super with revolver motor in AZ in 115 deg temps without a problem so I see no reason a 2lb mini should cause problems running a HH mini torquemaster |

I've ran both of them in my 2.2 comp rigs with no issues at all. Either of the two are a good choice IMO. |

The sidewinder micro is plenty, and the pro is backordered everywhere.

| Ah crap! I just went and bought me a Sidewinder to replace my Mamba 25 to run in my crawler when all I needed was a software update . I'll stick the Mamba in my Mini-T to drive my Orion Baja and I can go lipo - I'm happy.

Im running the sidewinder micro in my mrc and its aeesome. Never over heated with my slider motor... Only issue i had was the last software up date made it cut in and out. Reverted to ver 28 and again working like a charm.
