Default lipo-cutoff woes

Was putting lipo cutoff(novak 2s)on the boys crawler yesterday, i cannot get it to program.
lights up with red like it says it will, but then never blinks green and goes back to red...

i have tried re-programming the stock ESC, but it will not do its deal with the Cutoff attached, and does nothing different without it attached..

although the smoking sparking mess from the first ESC attempt could have something to do with it......the cutoff still lights up the way it should at first...
TOAST?cheers, b

It sounds like you do not have the neutral position set properly. Here are the instructions in case you dont have them:

Is your battery charged? Sounds like your battery may be out of range when you plug it in...
