well it finally arrived!

now im just waiting on my rx, battery, and new servo for my LCC so i can take the old one out and put it in here!

also going to order up a Chevy '72 c-10 body for it to match the LCC!

got the motor in and of course a poser flex shot!

started with some mods.... weighted the front wheels with some thin steel wire, that holds great under the beadlock ring.

started a super shitty paint job (stripe is crooked as hell! ) but IMO the silver and "pumpkin" orange look pretty good!

other than the wheel weights I plan to leave it stock for atleast a few runs to see how well it preforms, then paint the new chevy body "outlaw" black like the 2.2 big brother of this rig, then get some 1.9 rovers to match as well if i feel new tires are needed!

also on the fence about a esc, B1R or sidewinder micro, maybe even a momba micro??

thanks! I had always wanted a mini rig but never wanted to drop the same $$ for a mini as I would a scx-10 or something, the sale is what did me in! haha not to mention it'll mathc my LCC! plus this already has half the upgrade parts i wanted and needed IMO that would have cost over the $90 that it did!

Sadly they are, and so far its great! (Just hooked it up to a 2s and seams to have all the wheel speed I'll need and pleanty of tourqe!

But I just happen to know the right guy!

Also plan to grab some MIP shafts for this thing when RPP gets them back in stock and the HH mini TM shreds the stock plastic!

well didnt want to wait for a sidewinder mico so i picked up a Tekin B1R, and WOW this thing is tiny!

did a small test too, very smooth, and the HH has loads of tourqe and about perfect for wheel speed!

messily wired in and sitting on a small lexan plate for now! sits almost below the top of the chassis line, and im gotta be able to kep everything below the top of the chassis for a pretty dang low COG!

wel I got it running!
radio- rc4wd xr4
esc- Tekin B1R
motor- Holmes Hobbies tourqe master mini!
servo- currenty a Cirruis POS that is on its last leg and getting replaced with a Hi-tec 5645
batt.- Turnirgy 500mah 30c 2s

so far im pretty impressed with this little rig that is 100% stock other than the 1oz per front tire! does need a little better overall COG and side hill, along with some traction. so I'll try to break in the rock claws to see how good they get!

rx on rear upper links

batt. on the front upper links

off to crawlin!

What is holding the battery to the lexan plate?
Also ziptieing the lexan plate to the links doesnt effect how it articulates?

If there's enough slop in it it'll be fine, but if it's tightened all the way down then there could be a problem.

just some doubble sided tape (like for an esc), and just 1 zip tie per side on the plate so its still bind free scince it is able to piviot at the one point.

well took the junky servo apart that is on it put on a new top, old top was cracked allowing a pin to move and bind up the gears, so no need for a new servo yet.

also got another pack throught it and noticed insted of a nice smooth driving style all the time the little weight of this rig really likes throttle blips to jump on ledges and has amazed me on my light-mild 2.2 comp course and even does the "tire climb" which is a quite difficult and steep climb to get on top of a 39.5" tire built into the course! more pics to come!

even having the zip ties cranked down tight just one per-side allows the plate to silde and piviot while flexing. but I am still able to move the plate forward and backward by hand fairly easy.

to be honest.. its not really lexan either! just some fishing takle box deviders the i cut to fit with a sharp razor blade.

yes, and yes i know your not suppose to yada yada.

I trust my charger and lipo's enough ive never had a problm out of any lipo ive had other than an OLD one that was puffed and the only prob with it was it held about 25% in the bad cell so it had a short run time.
