Default Mrc esc shuts down..... Why?

I have a comp built mrc but if I'm trying a more technical line or a more delicate line it shuts down.
This buggy has a stock mrc esc, HH motor, 2s lipo, CC bec and a hitec 645. It took a little trial and error to figure out the proper order of tx on, plug batt in , turn esc on and things run well as long as I'm 1/2 throttle or more. When I slow way down it seems to go into shut down for what ever reason.
Anyone have any ideas as to why?
If I work the throttle trim on the Tx til I get the motor "whine" that's when it seems to shut down.
Would a new esc be my solution?
Someone please shed some light.
Thanks

What's ur hearing and do you know if the motor is a 22t or 33t?

It sounds like the ESC.. But, what tx, Rx are you using?

I'm not sure of the Turns. I'll have to check. I have axial ax3 tx and Rx in there now. The sound I hear before shut down is what I'd call motor whine. Like if you're sitting still and you turn the trim and the motor just starts to rotate but isn't really turning. Then if you turn the trim back it'll stop whining Or if you're perched and about to tip over and you give just a little throttle so as to try to move but not so much to tip over , that's when it seems to shut down. Seems as if there is too much , or not enough draw on the esc and that causes it to shut down. After about 10 mins , if I disco everything and then plug it all back together it'll run until I get in a situation where I try to drive nice and slow and then it'll happen again.
I'm pretty sure an upgrade esc would fix it but was hoping someone might have an easier fix.

Thanks for any input.

My guess is your motor is too power hungry for the stock ESC, because when the motor whines is the moment it uses the most current.

Also, when you installed your CC BEC, did you remove the red wire from your ESC plug in the RX ??
If not your CC BEC is pushing current through your ESC's BEC in the opposite direction (not good)

I think that could be the case. I do have the wire pulled. Also didnt mention that i do run with a lv. Alarm plugged in and the voltage was around 3.7 per cells. I set the alarm for 3.6. So it hadnt gone off yet. What do you guys think of the sidewinder mirco? Size doesnt really bother me so ive been thinking about the sv3 also. Any thoughts
Thanks again for the input.
