Plan to run a 2c 1300Mah Lipo Gens Ace, I have it handy and it's brand new so that's why using it. Other question is I see theres a losi NON Brushless I assume also For around 40. If i dont plan to run a brushless motor would that work still with the lipo's? Where to Get a GOOD Brushed Motor at also would be a GREAT HELP! Last edited by WestTxRc; 10-05-2011 at 12:24 PM. |

Well I went ahead and Bought a LOSI 1/18 XCELlORIN Electronic Speed Control ESC Off Ebay New with programming stuff. eBay - New & used electronics, cars, apparel, collectibles, sporting goods & more at low prices I think it was an Ok Price. Thinking of going with a Holmes Motor. Any Suggestions. Will I need to Change the Pinion Gears? I don't Have to run a Losi Brushless Motor since i got the Losi ESC do i? |

Hi I don't think that's the crawler specific ESC that Losi make for the MRC and I may be wrong but I think you can only run brushless with that ESC, though not only Losi brushless. Also, as the ESC is for sensorless motors you will likely suffer from cogging at start off/low speeds which is not good when crawling. Sorry chap. |

good luck getting a refund, but the losi brushless will get you by for now. I would suggest to yo a mongoose, its cheap and easy to use and you can run a brushed motor with the esc. |

I would just buy a tekin BoneR and a reedy stump puller or just surf the for sale section I know rock hard had a good deal yesterday on a mini part out. My personal opinion is that brushed setups work better. |

| Novak - 3055 Mongoose Crawler Micro Bl System 18.5T - 422161 This is the Mongoose Crawler system for the MRC. Castle systems are not sensored but the micro sidewinder/Pro can be used with brushed motors like those from Rockhard, Holmes Hobbies and others, as well as Losi, etc - useful if you have one in one of your other rigs running brushless. Advantage of the micro sidewinder is it's small foot print. But if you want brushless go Novak as Losi have stopped producing the Xcelorin for the crawler AFIK. |

I would stick to brushed. Get a FXR, Mamba Micro Pro, or B1R esc and a Losi Insane or Slyder motor. If you want a hand built motor then look at Brood or Crawler Mafia.
