Hi...

I took the shocks and remounted them on the inside of the body mounts. This lowered the truck, but interestingly enough, I accidentally limited the droop somehow. For example, if I climb something with one front wheel, both front wheels raise at the same time...are the shocks too stiff? Not enough weight in the wheels? Thoughts?

Thanks,
Noah

Is the front end compressing at all? These little guys are pretty flexy from the get go. Either it is binding up or you need some weight

Here are a few pics...I thought that with the shock flatter, it would be softer and hence compress easier...

Can't access the pics. Sounds to me like you are stressing the ball end angles which is binding the shocks.

I fixed the links...me and Flickr were not getting along...

Anyway, since both tires are lifting together, while only one is climbing an obstacle, it seems unlikely that the ball joints are stressed at that point?

you can add more weight. it will help with the lifting of the tire. and the one pic you want the tire to lift like that, carry the tires over the holes have fun crawling

Thanks for the feedback. I added a few spacers to the shocks (the ones hta came with the rtr) which I may remove as a test. Also, I will add a full size servo and some weights to the front and see if that will help.

I still hold at limited travel due to the inverted V angle of the rod ends/shock ends. If this was not happening before you did this mod and it is happening now then I think you kindof have your answer. That said I really softened up my front end as far as oil and springs. Try some mini t springs.
