| I have $125 to spend, what would you buy
currently I have a L-trail frame (which I do not like), hitec 645, aluminum c's but stock knuckles and steering arms, aluminum shocks, straight link bars, Integy 3 link, outcroppers, on some kind of beadlocks, traxxas overdrive up front, loshi brushless system, lipo, metal lockers in axles and trans, plastic trans gears. No matter what I want to order a chassis (Preferrably bodiless), I'm tired of breaking stock modified driveshafts. I would like to switch to 4 link thinking zero ackerman aluminum knuckles may be worth wild unfortuantely the mini juice is no longer available, so I'm still up in the air on the chassis, but i want to order one by 3:30 EST. what would you spend the money on? the $125 isn't a firm number but I want to stay around that price. |

My favorite chassis so far is the BWD Wedge, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it. I might be interested in buying your L trail chassis, send me a PM with price if you want to get rid of it.

My son is running a mini gatekeeper 4 link chassis with HR bent aluminum rear lower links, it goes rather well. We both use MIP driveshafts, no issues there either. |

If you still have some coin to spend,I would 1st double check that your current set of shocks will work well with your new chassis.Don can comfirm that for you. If so,then I would highly suggest upgrading your trans gears, that brushless system is gonna trash the stock ones and likely at the worst possible moment. also rubber/wheels is agreat upgrade, though not as importans that the trans. |

I confirmed that my shocks will NOT work, I have the late model shocks on order. I'm torn with the trans gears. My son destroyed oine set when he went full throttle into my couch and stayed into the throttle (He's 3). I have heard two total opposite opinions betyween the stock plastic gears and the Hot Racing aluminums. I heard that they strip easier than the plastic. Either way i do have spares. Anything I break I order two usually. Tires and wheels, I have outcroppers which I believe will do for now and I do have true beadlocks (Aluminum) I just don't know what kind. I'm getting ready to place the order with Don for the chassis and one of almost everything on his site, along with abunch of other knick knacks to get this done. My $125 quickly turned into closer to $300. I may be paying child support after this one lol. |

No,I'm fairly sertain robinson racing makes some steel replacments also. I have been very hard on my truck multiple times......My hr gears have not let me down... alum will wear faster than plastic in regulare use sometimes. the reason is cuz the alum generates more friction. Its very important to use ample grease they say.One its lubes, but also it will absorb some of the friction. Little secrete....I dont use grease Grease weighs,I hate weight I heated them to around* and dropped em in jar of slick 50,left them there for several days....then added a couple of small drops during assembly. just a thin line of grease with my finger around trans case during final assembly to seal it all in. My gears spin smooth as silk, and show little to no wear |

I am running a blend of the Hot racing and stock with the locker. I trashed the locker on the HR gears but trashed the upper tranny gear stock so now I have both and it all works out at the end of the day.
