Well I have been waiting on a esc and motor I bought a week ago from some body on the forum that seems to have ripped off a bunch of us for this build. Frickin' puke named WestTxrc - Teddy Harris.

Well I bought a couple ESC's today from Brianw and then I ordered a motor also, "progress", I think I have everything to get it rolling now. I'm gonna use a full size servo I have , not sure which one yet, I have a few that would'nt work on my 2.2's but should work on this lil rig I hope.

Okay, I got the Losi esc, the Venom Fireball 370 motor in the mail and the Losi TX - RX. Looks like it all made it, within hours till momma can open the parts up for Christmas . Whew, I did'nt think I was gonna be able to pull it off there for a while after the westtxrc incident.
Will have some build pic's after tomorrow .

Hope it all worked out for you. Calvin (asw27x) & I are using full size HiTecs in ours. We had extra 7955's that are great, but a bit "soft" in a 2.2 comp rig. Almost overkill in a 1.9 though.

well, I got mama's Pro roller together today, I installed the stock Losi esc and got a new Venom 370 brushed motor in it with a full size servo and run on 2s lipo.
After about 10 minutes the motor got hotter than hell, where I could even smell it, I don't get it , I wonder if the motor is just a cheap motor and can't take the 2s or what. Do I need to put a BEC between the battery and the esc? Any ideas guys? Thanks

BEC?????, you likely won't need it, even if you do, it's only for the servo, that's all.

I'm assuming you checked for binding in the driveshafts, pinion/spur gear mesh is OK, driveshaft angles are OK, etc?? Since you're a Creeper driver, I would guess you already know what to look for.
Did you lube the motor bearings/bushings?

Check, check and check , I m thinking the motor is only intended for 6v. and not the 7.4v. I'm giving it. It's not the best motor.
