| TedBull's Titanium Bodyless MRC
I have made some changes since I first built this rig over a year ago. Most significant change is a new Titanium chassis and Titanium bodyless cab along with servo/battery mount from (IRC) Infectious RC. I was in the right place at the right time to score their new setup. Here is my list of specs: Some old, Some new. *MRC PRO kit roller. *JR DS 8711 servo. Its been great, no issues. W/ Racers edge horn. *Losi zero ackerman aluminum hubs and knuckles clearanced for more throw. *C-hubs rotated back for more castor. *stock steering link and chunk of AX10 aluminum link for draglink. *IRC Aluminum servo mount with integrated battery mount. Works Great. *IRC Titanium chassis plates. (direct fit with OEM pro chassis). *IRC Titanium Bodyless cab for IRC chassis plates or stock carbon chassis. *Traxxas overdrive mod in front. *Crawler mafia underdrive mod rear. *Case halves are thru bolted. *CC Bec at 6V for servo. *MaxAmps 2S 860 mah lipo's. *Spektrum SR3500 micro RX. *MIP driveshafts. *Aluminum HR tranny gears. *Tekin FXR esc. *Vanquish Products little harrys. *Stock rovers with nova foams. *Losi shock outboard kit, stock shocks inverted, internally limited a bit. stock springs. *Crawler Mafia motor. *BWD billet motorplate. This rig has performed well, it is a tuff truck. All the brearings and CVD's are original and have seen many comps in the last year but are holding up well. I had to replace the underdrive pinion once from normal wear, and I had to replace the front ring gear from overdrive pinion wear. I am very happy with it. I realy like my new setup with the Infectious RC Ti chassis, Ti topper, and servo/battery mount. It is a clean setup that works. Last edited by TedBull; 12-21-2011 at 06:50 PM. |

That looks great. I ordered mine and can't wait to build it up. Did you make your own underdrive mod for the replacement in the rear or did you go with a rockhard one again? |

When I had Paul aka "rock hard" mod my rear case I bought two pinions from him. Getting the mesh right is key. I need to get another one for a back up. First one got me thru most of last season. Todd (rockslyder) from our club has had good luck with a couple pinions he modded himself. |

Thanks JB. Glad you and Brian got me setup becuase I love it. The servo mount/battery plate is genius, works so well and it keeps the stock links and just bolts right on. Awesome. And the Titanium speeks for itself. |

As to the case halves, remove the screws that hold the axle case together near the diff, make the holes go all the way through the rear case 1/2, install longer screws with a nut on the back side. This prevents stripping out the case screws which: 1-makes the case stronger 2-keeps a better pinion/ring gear mesh

To rotate the knuckles back you need to shave the corners off the axle tubes so you can rotate the hubs back. Then make new holes for the mounting screws, very quick and simple. Its all been covered in length in multiple threads you just got to search it out.

| Re: TedBull's Titanium Bodyless MRC Take your knuckles and C-hubs off the front axle. Shave down the corners on the axle housing, top front and lower rear corners. Shave and fit, shave and fit untill the c-hubs can rotate back. Put everything back on and rotate both c-hubs back untill the steering link can go as far back as possible with still having clearance when fully turned. Then mark and make your holes for your mounting screws. It realy is very simple, I used a angle grinder and body reaming tool.
