|  Somebody Please Make Metal Tranny Gears!!!
Com awnnn: Hot Racing, Losi, RC4WD, Robinson, someone!! The plastic gears are decent, the HR aluminum gear is OK, but we need real metal gears, preferably drilled for maximum light weight. I'll take 3 sets!! |

I'll take 2 sets! Even a way to put metal lockers in the aluminum gears so they stop wearing out before the gear its self... I have a perfectly good diff gear but from torque, the locker area is oblong an worthless.. Edit: 3 sets! Class 1 project coming.. Last edited by winnerone23; 12-03-2012 at 12:25 PM. |

I've always wondered if these would work: LOSB1065 Transmission Gear Bag Metal Mini-T by Losi & Associated Parts House You'd have to JB weld the planetary gears though.... |

I agree. I sent Robinson Racing a couple differant emails asking about making berg, and MRC gears. Would be nice to have some steel gears. Although, my HR gears are over two years old and the drivetrain is still smooth. Now that I said that they will fail at this weekends comp I am sure.

Just put one on order, gonna give it a shot. My HR center gear is getting a little sloppy.
