Their are many benefits of clocking ur chubs. Most are in ur steering and crawling. As a lack of ud/od the mini's push as they steer. So instead of ur tire rolling under ur rim, it pushes ur contact patch to the rock. It helps reach ledges with clocked chubs. In the same aspect, as you turn into a rock ledge or face, it drives the tire up instead of into the rock. Clock it too much and it can hinder instead of help. Edit: run it stock and get use to it, then clock ur chubs and see the difference. The nice thing bout the mod, you can put it back to stock at any point. (i actually have a axle housing with 2 positions in it. Clocked and extra clocked) All still held fine, when I used it. Last edited by winnerone23; 01-01-2014 at 05:36 PM. |

Thanks for posting this. Today I did this mod to my maxstone 16 and did a ota steering along with a hitec645 and homebrew servo mount. I got full steering back that I lost when I installed the ripsaws. |

Did you take out the steering drag link? If so, does that help get better steering? Thanks.
