They're cheap and work really well. Get a couple extra, I've gotten a couple bad ones. Still recommend them. |

What's a good number of those packs to order? I was going to order 6-8 of them in the not so distant future, as well as replace my oooold 50w Accucel 6 with the newer 80w version at the same time. Should I go ahead and order an even 10 of these for a day on the rocks with two minis running? My GF will be running the Infectious Ti rig and I am in the process of building a new rig. Both rigs will share common electronics to keep things simple, and we're just looking for a couple hours of leisurely crawling/hiking. Neither of us actually comp our rigs, I just like comp rigs. Lol.

I have 2 800's and 2 450's. So, I'd get like 5 or 6 of the 300's. That should keep you happy for a while.

8 minutes or more per pack, depending. I run 7-8 batteries when I'm out goofing off. Setting up courses, to practice, maybe 5-6. For two rigs, 10 would be a good idea. You might get ten, or nine, worst case eight good ones. Not talking trash, but the 20+ I've ordered for myself and others to save shipping, I've gotten 3 bad batteries. At under $4 a piece, I'll order them all day... |

Took the mini to the first comp of the season last Sunday. The rig was handling awesome; but then I let myself, and the rig down. I've been running plastic driveshafts for about two years, and only broken 3 shafts; but they've all been at critical times. I got tired of that, and ordered some SDI shafts about 6 months ago; but never took the time to install them. What a dummy. The front shaft failed during the end of the second course, and I didn't bring any spare parts that day.....so I was done. The SDI shafts were just a bit too long...modification time! They're so thin I gained some clearance on the servo. The other shafts fit fine; but more clearance is a good thing. I'm loving the look of steel shafts in this rig for the first time. I put the slip end at the tranny, up front, to help clear the servo. On the rear, the slip section is at the axle end to keep the weight lower, in theory. With any luck this rig will stay strong on all three courses next time. |
