worth trading Losi Micro for Losi Mini

Ok so ill say this first..

i have an ax10 that i like.. I dont comp as my ax10 is only mild fun crawling.
few losi micros
working on a foff
1/18 scale mercedes RTR - bone stock going to run lipo soon instead of nicad...

anyway local guy has a mini that he said he would trade for a mini... well i dont have a 1/18 crawler... hah..

is it worth trading a losi micro for a losi mini?

Looks like a stock rtr mrc.. check around for metal lockers for the axles an tranny. If you can find them, then its worth it.. I think? Depends on how much you have into ur mini.. you can find a mrc pro for cheaper then you can upgrade a rtr model. The Only nice thing bout the rtr, is its rtr..

If your comparing dollar value, I have no idea.

A friend of mine has a Losi Micro Crawler. It's really cool, and I could see the
potential for some fun, but I have no desire to get one.

However, the Mini is a "real" crawler. I base that statement on the fact that it has a class for competition at the national level.

I've not heard of the Micro Class.

Even if you're not interested in competing, the fact that the class exists gives the MRC a fairly decent aftermarket for upgrades, parts, etc.

If you love the Micro, keep it. Look for a used Mini Pro to get a good rig right away. The RTR MRC is more for fun. You'll have to swap out 95 percent of the to get it bad ass. (ask me how I know this......) Used Pro may be a couple hundred without the work and potentially comp worthy.

If the Micro just sits around collecting dust, then go for it. Upgrade at you own pace and enjoy.
