Default Slickrock

This is my rainy day play "anywhere-tear-it-down-startover-backyard-close-enough-engineering" rig , been through many incarnations already . Torn apart now again . This is my favorite setup with 10" wheelbase .

Mostly stock with smallest pinion in the mrc set
treps on 1.9 axial beadlocks
13mm wideners
homemade links sleeved with black plastic tubing
junkbox shock mounts
dna servo and link mounts
hand sanded every rod end to fit in the stock location , trimmed the skid and the shock mount area of tube on axles a little too

When its back together it will have proline scaler shocks and an interior

That looks rad. The extra wheelbase is a nice touch. I just picked up a slickrock yesterday. Am I seeing it right that you are using the origional lower links as the upper links?

I too would be curious to know how you increased your wheelbase. I love my little slickrock. My back yard rock garden is a perfect playground in it's relatively stock state

I'm really liking those link/servo mounts. Are they specific to the slick/mrc? I see some that say 1/10 in the description on eBay.

The link mounts are mini dna units ( cut now ). The links are simple all thread with traxxas ends and plastic tubing over copper pipe .

Shes tore down again . looking to make new axle mounts for lowers and shocks . small holes tear and break with real wheeling .

This is a nice looking crawler! I was wondering if the longer wheel base hampers your break over on climbs.
I think some of the Drav Tech parts would help you with the ripping out of the link and shock mounts, they are designed for 3mm hardware.

So you are going back to the origional idea of a triangular upper link that's longer and stronger than stock?

Man, that thing is barely even a Slickrock anymore. I foresee your next upgrade being a custom tube-frame chassis, maybe with a Slickrock decal stuck on somewhere so you can still say it's a Slickrock.

The very last one is not my slickrock , its my creeper . I have that all sorted out and is the reason I haven't worked on the slickrock in awhile.

I really dig your 4 link in the later pics there. Did you make that mount that they attach to?
I've been toying with the idea of stretching mine with 101mm lower links and making my own 3link like the factory with hot racings scx10 3 link connector. It's basically a female threaded y that I could put any length link on to make it fit correctly.
My biggest question is did you have to use longer drivelines when you streched it?

That's a labor of love. I gave up on my Slickrock over a year ago.
