A thread with few pictures is a boring thread, so lets fix that a little bit...

My plan was to keep my last pair of the stainless spools for a project, but hey what don't you do for your team drivers

Exceed 1/16 ring gears on the DravTech stainless spools for both the front and rear.

For the front there is a Exceed 1/16 pinion gear on a modified Losi pinion shaft. I have grinded down the flange on the shaft. The Exceed shaft is a little bit bigger than the Losi one so I added a drop of Loctite 648 so it will not have any play.

For the rear there will be a modified Axial gear giving it some underdrive.

The transmission contain the HR aluminum gears. To avoid that the output shafts beats up the pocket in the aluminum gear I have added some Loctite 648 so now those shafts are going nowhere.

The transmission housing also got one of the DravTech CF motor plate prototypes. The function is good, but I am not happy how it lines up with the housing yet. I have to send Samu a proper one when I have them ready

As I hate M2 thread in plastic I had to mount some aluminum inserts in the bottom holes of the transmission housing.

Transmission mounted on the SuDuZero skid.

Just a skid is boring so lets add a chassis around it

Then I had time to assemble the knuckles.

Then time ran out for today, but this is up next

Your building is always epic to follow! Now when it's my rig, it's even more exciting! Looks fantastic so far! I can't wait to see them axles and skins mounted together. It'll be one hell of a package!

A little more done. Axles are coming together and next up is shimming the ring and pinion gear so I can start shortening the axles.

The wheels are also assembled to be ready when the tires are done.

I'm a little dumb so forgive me for asking. But how exactly did you accomplish this?

They are M3 threaded on the outside of the inserts and M2 threaded on the inside so you just drill the hole out for self tapping M3 screw and then just screw the inserts into it

It is like EverettY said, but I also add a dab of glue before screwing in the insert to make sure it never come loose.

I am working on it, but really need to step up the pace to get it ready in good time before Nordics. I hope to be able to post some progress next week.
