Default Losi and Vaterra Minis

Anyone know where to get motor plates for these that will allow the use of a 540 size motor can? Thanks

Um... those exist o.O?! I'd have a hard time imagining the top shaft gear let alone the rest of the internals of a mrc or mini T transmission surviving a 540. Now there IS the traxxas 1/16 erevo transmission I think someone was trying to get a 540 into the chassis but it was a bit... massive.

Though if your bonkers like me....

Custom made chassis that uses the same dimensions an bolt pattern for the mrc skid/transplate that uses the merv with the 540 big block mount. Though... mine doesn't crawl... it kinda hurls itself everywhere.

That monster truck is so awesome! I love it every time I see it. Is it durable?

very durable with how I've beat it though I haven't on purpose tried driving it directly into a curb.

But on topic I really would stick with a 380 or 400 crawler motor for size an space especially with something like a holmes hobby motor!

Even if you made a motor plate for a 540, the pinion would have to be very large to mesh with the spur. Probably easier to make a skid that holds an axial tranny/motor if you were determined to use a 540.

why would you want to use a 540? Bigger, heavier, I would not. But I know some guys once used the Holmes mini pullers.
