| Steering Servo Question ?
I've found that when the front end of my truck is down hill, and up against a rock, but not like jammed, the steering doesnt want to move, and i have to back up or push forward if i can, to turn the steering Is that normal ? or do i just have a weak servo ? what steering servo are you running ? what is the best/better/good of servo part numbers ? is there any rhyme or reason to their numbers that you know of ? Thanks. |

what servo do you have? I run the Hitec 7955 with a BEC set at 6v, and I have a similar issue at times. I will be bumping up the voltage to experiment, however I need to rewire some things since I only want the steering servo to have more voltage, not the dig servo. A BEC will help. I run a 5595 at 7volts. Your lucky when mine used to do it the whole truck would lock up. At least you can back up. You need to find out how many volts your ESC sends to your servo and go from there. |

Hitec 5595 titanium gear as well, After having a rig with crappy steering and upgrading to the 5595, I must say it is the best upgrade you can make. Even better than dig.

I'm running the 5995 Tg Hitec servo also. I just ordered a programmer to tweak it a bit and open the dead band so it's no squeeling so much. This will also help it run cooler when you have the steering centered. I am also adding a CC BEC this week and bump it up to 7 volts to give it a bit more power.
