Default My Dodge!!!!

Hello everybody! i no i havent been on here in a while because i have been busy working, i still take my crawlers out a good bit but all this rc crawling is making me want to get into 1:1 crawling. some of you might remeber my lifted red dodge pickup, well im planning on taking it off the road and having it just for off road use. So far i plan on buying 4:88 gears and a rear locker for now(front ones are really expensive!). I wanted to post up about this because i no alot of you do 1:1 wheeling and i wanted to no what you guys think is a must for me to do to it to start wheeling.

Dodge is a big bitch to take wheeling. I'd find something smaller and tow it with the dodge. I'm selling my Samurai at the end of summer for probably $3500-$4k if you want to save your pennies

Im with Cronus on this one. Sell the Dodge and buy something smaller like a jeep or a samurai. You can build a very capable small vehicle for around 3k. Unless you like mud, than the dodge will work just fine. Ive tried to wheel a full size rig, and it doesnt work very well on the east coast, as the trails are too tight.

Welcome back by the way Hope you make the MDRCC points season!

The Dodge would be great, IF you do not mind beating it up. If you want to wheel it hard the axles are to small and are going to break. Start with 1 ton stuff to start. You will be throwing away your money on regearing the stock stuff. If you are going to keep it on the road and drive it on fire roads then it would be fine.

Good luck.

i no its kinda wide but it actually truns pretty sharp. its got a dana 44 in the front now and a dodge 9.25 rear axle. i did find a dodge 1 ton in a junk yard which has a dana 60 front and dana 70 rear i belive. they were asking $65 an axle there. O and i did get a set of used tires for it since anyone has seen it. they are 36-16.5-16.5 dick cepeck fc on eagle alloy wheels. they will probably suck off road but they look cool on it now!

Do yourself a favor, and dont tell anybody where those 1 tons are, including myself. No matter how many times I beg you thru PM's.. Although, Knowing your location, and price description, its not that hard to guess.

Insane Raymond's...

Go get them tomorrow, if they are 60/70, instead of SL.

Not sure if they let full size trucks in. Trails are tight.

They will let you in, but warn you it will be smaller on the way out.

Yeah they let full size rig's in as long as your money is green they don't care. The trails are tight I trail guided there for a few years expect body damage and lots of it.
