Default Comp Site in Columbia

I found a nice place to crawl in Columbia. Definitely suitable for a comp. I'll post pics this weekend.

After checking it out again, it's not really suitable.

CronusTRD -- Where abouts in Columbia were you talking about? I am in the pasadena area, work in Hanover and my companies corp offices are in columbia... looking for a decent place to crawl that isnt too far away. Just picked up a wheely king and plan to convert it. My Savage is getting a little boring.

It was off Guilford road near Rt 32, but again, it's not really decent. You can try over by Savage Mill. The creek that runs along behind there has lots of small crawling spots. I used to live by there and would go down near there. Plus Ram's Head is right there and has some good beer.

If your coming from like, the Mcdonalds and the grocery store at the other end of Guilford, and go all the way down until the bend right before the rt 32 bridge..there is a building kind of on the corner. behind that building used to be a quarry that it filled with water now. Also, across the street seems to be a small park, never ventured over there but there may be some good terrain back there.

The small park with the Bridge is what I was talking about. The path that goes along the old Foundry by Savage Mill is much better. I think there is another area in Old Ellicott City but I haven't had a chance to explore over there.

Cool, my work's corporate offices are right across the street from that park, I know exactly where its at. I know of an old place right off Coca Cola Drive in Hanover that my buddies and I used to go jeeping back in the woods there. Its a huge place to off-road. not many "rocks" but most of the dirt is hard clay and there are a lot of crevises and what not. They wont allow 4 wheeling back there anymore so walking would be ideal...but I however work ant Dept. of Transportation HQ and have a badge and never get bothered. If you have never been there you may want to check it out.

I've heard of Coca Cola Drive, but I avoid the questionable areas. A trespassing charge would not bode well.

Or having your truck taken away. The wife's uncle got a ticket back there. I brought him up to Rausch after that to show him what real wheeling is.
