Default How to bake tires in the oven without getting yelled at...

..simply blame the smell on your idiot neighbor whose car caught on fire...



It fawking stinks, but is the perfect cover I need to bake some old tires to de-glue them.

Bake? Why not just boil them. Works like a charm. The Moabs on Waylon"s scaler have been deguled 4 times no problems.

Humm! What temp and how long? Do you set them on there side or stand them up?

That is a lot faster. Dose it dry out the tire. I read on a can of PB Baster that it will make rubber softer. Has any one tryed this? Dose it Work? Heard that WD40 work as well.

I don't think the tire is dried out at all, but I didn't care about the old tires anyway. I just wanted the rims to mount my old set of chisels on for my rock racer.
