go 2.2 comp rig, Axial has alot of options, that you may even be able to create yourself. plus tons of info about the AX 10 is available.

also what are you considering a 2.2 comp rig i dont have a lot of money thats why i was atempting to go small but if i have to i could wait longer and save up. Give me some good ideas on complete crawlers, needs nothing besides upgrades down the road

on a budget the mini is a great introduction to crawling. the class is new and growing fast . i think most clubs have a 1.9 class now. they are easy to do some free mods to and are comp worthy. you will need some additional parts but all things considered , the mini i feel is the best choice out of the box, everything you need crawler.

according to ECRC's website, they are going to host a 1.9 comp class for 2009.

Best way to see if you like it is to buy the mini, follow along with build tips from the losi mini crawler threads. Alot of free or cheap mods can be done to significantly improve over the stock setup. Try a comp or two, show up to a gtg and you'll see that eventually, you'll want a 2.2. As far as perfomance. It's tough to tell what kind of terrain you have. Best thing to do is look at videos on youtube and you'll get a sense of what these little things can do.. Best of luck
