| Scaling/crawling at Borderland State Park today
Well, I got my Axial SCX10 a couple days ago. I am going to head down to rchover in Foxboro to pick up some scale parts, then I am heading to the Borderland State Park to do some trails. Just putting it out there incase anyone was in the area/bored/whatever. I will probably hit there around 1pm. I have to run a couple errands first. I know it's last minute but turns out I got the whole day to myself. Last edited by ktwohig9; 04-07-2012 at 08:32 AM. |

I love that place. Used to bike there a lot. Never though of bringing the trucks there. I have parks closer to me now anyway. Just need to find more time to use them

Yeah. It's my first time here. Didn't know parking costs 2 bucks but that isn't bad. Place seems nice so far. Think I would definitely return when out this way.

I went rock climbing there once. Its a nice area. Is there stuff big enough to entertain 2.2 comp crawlers?

I didn't see anything really for crawling so much, but I only went on the west path for about an hour. I walk pretty slow so I didn't cover too much ground.

Not sure what path it is but off main parking lot to the left, about 10 minutes in by bike was a big rock. Not sure how fun it would be with a crawler but was a lot of fun on the bike. Maybe I'll have to take a trip over there soon. Right now my weekends are full finishing my track and rocks.

Just went to Wompatuck State park this morning for another run on the trails. It was nice. parked in the main lot and entered the trail on the right side. At the fork i continued straight for a while. Probably not that far for most but took me a long time. Finally hit a bike/horse path so I had to choose right or left. Took the right and followed that for some time and it finally sent me back to tthe main entrance. It was a nice trip and the Scx10 handled it well. Once I got home, I ended up getting some crazy glue and mounting all my scale stuff, such as a gas can, drink dispenser, fire extinguisher, shovel, tow rope and two home made sleeping bags. Also put in John Cena as my new driver along with a new interior. I will get some pics and post them up probably tomorrow. |
