Default Axial SMT10 with clodbuster wheels and tires

I thought the tires looked a bit small so the first thing I did after the first drive was dig up my old tires and get some extenders. And threw in a spare 10.5t brushless system.

Even though the hex didn't fit in fully, it worked for now.

But the extra stress did not play nicely with the steering linkage. A small jump and it landed front tire first.

So the upgrades are waiting to be installed now to make it handle the extra weight of the tires.

Clod tires are too big in my opinion. I like the 2.2s with hopefully a slightly larger tire.

I recommend checking into Kyosho USA-1 Nitro wheels and USA-1 electric tires. They're much lighter than Clod

I have clodbuster tires/wheels on my AX10. I have vanquish Knuckles and STRC steering linkage and the savox sg1231 servo with no servo saver. It lives thru some decent abuse. You will have to upgrade to top notch parts to play with clod tires. My diffs are locked with Hot racing spools and I have the axial steel bevel underdrive gears, but my truck is brushed 550 on 3s. And I mainly use my clod tires for winter play, it will drive on top of snow with clod tires.

The rest of the year I spend on 2.2 crawling. But I do throw the clod tires on and beat on it here and there without snow and it will take some nasty jumps once upgraded. But you will be upgrading everything. All my links and axles are.

That looks great. It somehow partially disguises the stretch limo look of the stock SMT10.

That's a good point. Anyone making wheelbase extension trailing arms, or Links. Which ever you may call them?

What about pumpkin skid plates?

So once my budget yells uncle, I'll go back to stock I guess. That's too bad but not the end of the world.

Which adapters did you use to put Clod wheels on your SMT10?

The Clod wheel uses a hex (part BH2) but you also need part B5.

Much to heavy. I wish someone had the weight of actual Clod Wheels and tires, and weight of RC4wd The Rumble Race tires, and pro-Line Brawler wheels

You send me the Brawler and Rumble Race tire and wheel, and I will pop all three on my postal scale.

RC4WD B&H's with Brawlers weigh 13.8 ounces while the stockers weigh 9.7 ounces. I'm going to sell my brand new set of Brawlers and B&H's on ebay, as I just don't care for how they look vs. the stock setup.
