O"yeah Chris. I had to scrap the land rover body idea Becouse it looks like sh$t with 2.2s. The tires just dont fit under it like the bronco bodies do. So I ordered a Proline FJ 40 body.

ya better watch Jay, nick.... I thought about other bodies Jay, but like the idea of a 11 1/4" - 11 3/4" wheelbase...keeps high-centering to a minimum. |

what's up fellas? Figured I'd hop on here since I picked up Chris's ax10....thanks for the good deal Chris. I ordered a 7 cell split pack to mount on the axle and some 30degree links and some derlin mounting pads (they were 1/2 off, can't make em for that cheap myself) Trying to squeze a recv'r for my 3pm out of someone, we'll see, otherwise I'll run the baja recv'r and tx.

I think I'm going to toss a front dig on it immediately too, I'll just do a home brew version since I've got a servo already that would work great for that. Only bummer is the 3pm doesn't have a multi-position 3rd channel........anyone know if I can mod the 3rd channel to be multi-position? | |

| Dam-it. I wish I was able to Braze up shit now dude's
I wish i was set up to Braze dude's for I did body work year's ago. And I'm, very good at brazing up shit... And I've been checking out all these homemade tuber rig's and that has got me wanting to do full-time fab & mock up's & Etc ... So, I'm, going to start looking around some to see what would be the cheapest but best system to start out with soon... for I could spend , hour's & day's working on one off tuber's .. hell-yeah. from what all i've been seeing that other guy's have taken their time to do up right.... It has got the fire burning with in me too.....and I'd surely try to stay with in the "2.2" rule's as making some trail like rig's.... Wish I Had'nt of sold that lil' brazing torch that I had last year, just because i was'nt using it at the time.... Was'nt thinking of doing anymore of that stuff again... But Now, I see me wanting to really get into that shit again....Soon

All ya need is a $20 mapp gas torch from home depot and some brake line from the auto parts store. its cheap to start brazing chassis. The biggest ting is getting your bending skills good. Ive started a jeeper tuber and a comp tuber. But this weekend Im starting on a full exo caged FJ40 body. Only if my body shows up on time.

Speaking of on-time.....hoping the x-trail and Ax get here in time to come crawl. Any objections if I bring a spectator, Nick? ( my buddy is on the fence about crawling, figured this would give him a chance to run mine, and see more in action. Ron |
