Cool that is what I was hoping for. I am sure I will have a good list of what to upgrade by the end!

Ok, 1 more question, Had a guy on FB ask if he could come with his Traxxas Summit? I did not think it would be a problem, but thought I would ask to me sure.

What classes are you going to run? Any restrictions or mandatory gear?

I belive this is more of a fun run type of thing so we can run some gates and just meet up with old friends and meet some new ones maybe show off some cool builds etc... I'm sure I will be corrected if I'm wrong tho

Here is what we did last time at Honcho's house and everyone had a lot of fun. We are trying to keep the rules short and simple, this seems to keep it fun. We are trying to follow the Recon G6 rules as somewhat of a guide line but we are a small enough group we can make up rules that will suit us as needed.

If an event is held at someones house or property expect to pay a fee to run there just like you would at a private ORV park $5 dollars is the norm.

Basic rules:

#1.) No Hand of God (H.O.G) If your tuck rolls over the only way it can be put back on its wheels is to be pulled winched or pushed over by another truck. This keeps it scale and forces people to drive their rig smart. ****This is the most important rule.***

This is how the real G6 guys do it
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s2xvrjqGbe8

#2.) Gates must be run in numerical order and in their intended direction. The number of gates can range any where from 25 to 50 gates.

#3.) Night runs...Lights "must be attached to your vehicle". a pocket flashlight is ok to use for repairs, winching, recovery.

#4.) Two tires must pass between a gate in order to make "progress" to the next gate. We are not keeping score but this makes it fair for everyone. If you can not progress a gate on your own a buddy can pull or winch you through a gate.

#5.) Have fun. This is more of an adventure than a race, but it is fun to see who can out drive everyone and finish first.

#6.) A tow strap with hooks is mandatory for every vehicle. This can be made with a shoe lace and some hooks from the hardware store for about $5 dollars.

**Be prepared:**

Tow strap with hooks
Spare parts
Extra batteries/charger
Bug spray/suntan lotion
Tools/pocket flashlight
show up ready to run

All trucks are run by tire size, by far the most popular is 1.9 class. Trucks are started smallest tire size to biggest 30 to 60 seconds apart. We have done two man teams, we can run three man team....what ever the group decides. Really no requirements other than what is mentioned above. The point to all this is to hang out have a good time and run scale trucks.

No real limit as to what you can run as far as truck, motor or whatever....this may change as things move on and the group decides to limit something.

Show up ready to run! Plan to run two or three 20+ gate courses. The last event went till 1am, one course was run in the rain and all courses took about an hour to run start to finish.

Get some small hooks from the hardware store and tie them at either end of a shoe lace.

Was thinking of trying to make it, but I have no lights hooked up to any of the rigs, so two days isn't enough prep time. I'll have to get off our plane/multirotor kick and get the rigs back up and running soon =)

We will be running in day light. The park closes at dark if I'm not mistaken

Yeah shouldn't need lights for this run. If anything buy some pocket flashlights and tape them on your truck till you can get some mounted

We are trying to do a run every two to three weeks in different locations until the weather gets to bad or the snow gets too deep. By mid October they will all be night runs.

Tow strips made up last night! I do not have lights on mine yet. Looks like I will need to get some. Also picked up a Second battery. I guess I am ready for tomorrow. First time doing this. So If I look like I am lost it is because I am. I am sure there will be people there to help me.

My Wife and Kids think I am going crazy.
