ok so i searched all over the net looking for a 4door blazer trail truck. and i found this: "crazyblaze" on pirate4x4 its just about what i was looking for.

i've been trying the string method to cut all this so far and i have to admit it works awesome and its way more quiet/clean then my dremel.

yeah i liked yours, i wanted to find a 4x4 s10 but i found this one.
last time is went to the lhs they were out of micro-t ball joints or similar, hopefully not tomorrow.






no luck, not a store in jax has them.

I like it. Makes me want to find some mundane body and back it up. Love the half doors.

The styrene work on the doors looks very clean. I still haven't learned to braze the small stuff yet. I built the cage on my topless 4-Runner out of styrene and it has held up well but I bet that brass will outlast it by a mile. Overall that is a very sweet project you got going.

Thanks guys!, this one and the yota are the first time ive played with styrene, i found out a pretty helpful trick on youtube: you can use superglue and flour as a body filler! it dries and is sandable instantly.

The reason i did brass was because my old lady is going to be driving this one and she isn't too friendly to the plastic roll cage on the yota.

The yota is sweet as well! I have been using the super glue and flour trick for years. I learned it from some static modeling guys. You can also mix it with your brush paints to help simulate rust and mud.

thats a good idea, i was gonna do a clay or limestone stain on the underbelly.
of this one, i just need to figure out the right technique.

Pffft, do it the Oh Natural Way, take it outside and run it in the dirt and dust.

Well, I haven't done much on this lately because my cat/helper got attacked recently by one of my idiot "friends" dogs, so I've been spending alot of time and money at the vet. With no help from him, she is now walking a little bit, but we almost had to amputate her leg and shes only 11 months old!

Here she is after her surgery.


Anyways so while shes getting better we decided to work on some lights



So socks told me i had to put a resistor inline (like in the second pic) so i did and it worked. But when i went to solder it all together i left the nine volt connected to my work and bypassed the resistor thus frying all my work. LOL back to radio shack.
