Default body sizes?

I am new to the Micro crawling thing and was looking to get a model body to use. Only thing is I see poeple using 1/18, 1/20, etc. Is it a trial and error fit thing or is it a general fit ?

Generally I'd go for 1:20 scale models. I bought a 1:24 scale Grand Cherokee Tamiya static model and a 1:20 scale. You COULD use the 1:24 scale, but for a real scale build it looks a little ridiculous cause the tires look a bit too big, unless you're going for that "overbuilt" look. For the 1:20 scale you end up having to extend your wheelbase a bit For my grand cherokee build I'll be looking @ 6-6.25 inches worth of wheelbase.

My comp rig is @ 5 and 7/8s.

In conclusion.. Go with 1:20 scale.

IMO

large or fullsize trucks like an F-150 work nicely when in 1/24 or 1/25 scale
also some semis and military trucks

for S-10s.Toyota and similar compact trucks or jeeps 1/20 looks the most scale
