| My lil Ruby Now with a video.
Hey guys. I got a Losi Micro the other day. I ordered a New Bright 1:24 rubicon the same day for the body. I figured I would show you some of the stuff I have done to it so far. Enjoy. Last edited by Dubs Chops; 02-03-2011 at 09:12 PM. |

Yes the esc, is mounted under the hood. the battery is on the rear axle for now but will soon be under the lid behind the seats. I also had to cut the rear shock mounts off the frame and move them down further on the frame. Then I had to move the rear shock lower balljoints to face inwards. I also removed the pinion gear cover.

Here is a few more pictures. I had to clearence the bottom of the bumper for the top of the servo horn. I also made up some rock slider. All I have left to do it front tube bumpers, rear armor and possibly a tire carrier. |

Here is the rear bumper on now. The Jeep body I used had a plastic rear spare. When I cut it off there was a weird plastic chunk on the back so I carved it up to look like two fuel cans. |

Damn, I like the "armor" on the fenderwells. Real nice. And the "jerry cans" are a real nice touch as well, good thinking on that. I just got the same body at my local Wal-Mart, they're blowin' 'em out for 12 bucks. I went with a more simple look - looking at yours, I'm thinkin' maybe I should have elaborated a bit more... It'll probably be a few weeks but it'll get built at some point. It was just some rainy day entertainment getting it that far... |
