Default There is a MICRO scale forum?

No way!!!

What an great excuse to repost my Micros!

LOL

So i have 2 Micros. A scale and a comp rig.

So I got the Delerin Mirco L trail Chassis from TCS, and a 72 jeep commando 1/24 scale model.

this is where that ended up.

I didnt like the stock tires or rims w/ it. I also had a gripe w/ the frame rails extending past the front grill.

So I hacked the chassis, and ordered some BWD wheels and a chassis for my other micro.

I also stretched the rear links a tad.

And a pic of the "OTHER" micro w/ a new chassis (It looks lame i know, just wait.)

then I got some RC4wd Tires. They look and work night and day over the stock tires.

I love these lil things. The jeep is more capable than a stock MRC.

And finally, the DUO! and 2 pics of the lil comp rig.

My laptop needs to be fixed. Soon as it is, I should have some HD video of both in action

Default Leafy Ford Bronco.

So I wanted this

to look like this.

So i needed to make me some leaf springs.

I cut up of 2 thicknesses of styrene into 5 pieces like this.

then they went into a vice.

I did that 7 more times, sanded and drilled and shawing! Shackles.

Some nice micro machine screws, and those SOB's bolted on.

then came a little body mock up to plan were the tronix and such would go...

this body allows me yo use 85% of the model kit, and with a scale tool box, you wont see any electronics, battery included.

I went with an id retractors for the springs

and a quick coat of flat black....

I mounted the leafs to the axles by drilling the leaf and the axles, and used a lil styrene to hold it all together.

Now the fun of painting all the lil scale accessories begins!

Well, they have nice little mounting pots on the body.

So i was thinkin I may drill them out, and stick the mirrors through the body a little way....

They're getting painted w/ the grill, bumpers, dash and such

But yea, just tacked on, they ripped right off the jeepster.
