| 1/24 Revel Unimog Model
Has anyone tried the Revel 1/24 scale models? The Unimog from Revel Germany looks amazing! maybe a little top heavy and no idea on the wheel base and a little on the pricey side. This would be going on the Trail Trekker chassis. http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXZRE3&P=W Last edited by Grumpster1980; 04-26-2011 at 11:54 AM. |

Looks like a good project. Not fond of the blue in the picture, but that's me. Looks like the back end could be modified if you need to adjust the wheel base. I like tower, but here are some other options. http://www.arsatoys.com/ProductDetai...ign=RVL7401-GP http://www.hobbywarehouse.com/07401-...mog-U1300L-THW http://www.activepowersports.com/pro...401-Model.html |

I've built it, as spoo76 pointed out. I love that little truck. Its no comp crawler or anything but it is a fun scale rig. The track width is a little narrow on the losi axles so I recommend wheel wideners or some other method to get the wheels just a little bit wider. Also as you probably saw in my thread if you plan to use the models chassis, take your time in the beginning and reinforce the entire length of the frame rails before you break it and really screw it up. You could use another chassis for it but the frame twist is pretty fun to watch while you drive it since that's what a real mog does. My only regret is not planning out my build completely before I started building it. It could have been a much nicer truck if I had spent some real time thinking about it first. feel free to post or pm any questions y'all have in my thread or wherever
