Default 1950 chevy truck (Big Ugly)

I am dooing a tribute build of a 1948 chevy i did right out of high school. It was a 48 5 window on a blazer frame that was afectionatly called Big Ugly by my family. I will be using the AMT texico truck kit and a RSMC with lipo and miclaws. This is still in the preliminary mock up stages so tips and sugestions welcome. I have a couple of mock up photos and a pic of the orignal 1:1. Let me know what you guys think.

Right now it is just the stock red cat sumo chassis. i would like to find a losi cheep to steel the trans out of so i have motor and gear options. Will most likley trim the fenders for better clearance. Not sure yet if the interior will work out or if i will need the room for the electronics. should be fum and hopefully better than the kids

Glad to see a few of the redcat crawlers being used for builds. Looks like a great plan so far keep the updates coming. I have a few spare losi transmissions laying around so you have PM.

Just had some time to play around with the Trucks a little. I split the lipo from a BladeCX2 and ran it down the sides next to the motor. made a front body mount and attached the two haves of the body. Now i just need to make a rear body mount and figure out how the electronics are going to go. Then need paint and detail work. have some very small led's laying around may have to add some lights. havent tried it with the body but the lipo and mclaws made a huge differance.
