| How to mount leaf springs
Hey guys on my build there isnt to much room for the 4-link setup so I'm gonna run leafs but not sure on how you guys mount your axles to them. Can you guys please post up pics of how you do it. And also what material you guys used? Steel rake teeth, nitro puller spring, wind up car spring, key chain spring and so on. Thanks guys. |

Thanks for the reply and yes I have gone through a lot of builds on here and I can't really get a good look or idea of how they do it with what pics I have seen. I seen what looked to be stryne glued to the leafs but not sure how they mounted them to the axle. There isn't a good thread on how to mount them up so I figured I would ask and have some pics posted up. To me i don't think its that hard to post pics or describe with words how to do it. Just asking for some help after I have searched and came up with nothing that helped me. Ryan |

I think the way pictured above is the best because you can easily fine tune the axle position and if you use a peice with a 90deg bend you can mount the shocks to it. I drilled a hole in the leaf when I did it. It's cleaner looking but it's a pain in the ass and you have to be perfect.

Raising this thread from the dead....... For the guys with leaves mounted this way: Are you gluing them, or is clamp force enough to keep them held? Anyone running this setup with multiple leaves? Really hoping to avoid drilling springs. |
