Default SaNdLux.

I was a lucky SOB to get a few of these 1/20 hilux bodies from MGcrawler....
Thanks bro!

I knew he was going all out with his 4x4 offroad style , so I needed to do something different...Searched the good old net & found this 2wd sand monster :

Kabro 2010 - YouTube

So I tested out my power setup before the bodies showed up....Thanks again MG
Sumo rear axle
Mini qlo trans
5400kv castle 1/18 motor
CC sidewinder micro esc on 3s

Here is a short test of the results

That should do

The bodies showed up a week ago & are awsome, MG did some amazing work with these!

I got some brass & went to work fab'n the cabin

Front end is some micro t parts fitted with some 1/18 model rims & tires
rear is the sumo axle fitted with cut down losi mini paddle's & modded losi micro crawler rims.

here is what she looks like right now:

Very cool, I like speed and this looks fast! Hope you got lots of glue on those tires. I have a friend who used to take his 600HP sand rail to drag races and I remember everyone had a single wheel on their wheelybar because 2 wheels had alot of resistance and can even dig in and get hung up. You should build a wheelybar out of brass tube and use a small airplane wheel.

no need for that

i thought paddles were supposed to me more like a scoop to dig the sand rather than a V for clearing out the tread??

correct me if im wrong. it was a genuine question.

its ok, imo they look better as they are, but yea, just always seen them as more of a scoop. chevy might have fitted them that way for a reason??

but, alls good mate. no harm done!
