Default Chevy55's Orlandoo v1's & v2's let the hoarding begin!

Ok so I was hesitant on picking up a Orlandoo at first. Not a ford fan at all. But I bit the bullet & picked up a few oh35p01 kits.
Glad I did they are a blast to build!
So the oh35a01's showed up today & I dove right in on one. This new design is just amazing. Sam did one hell of a job!

a few pics of the Orlandoo obsession that has now taken over my micro life

Bout time your back around bro...

The title of this thread says it all and I'm totally on that bandwagon Don. Can't say enough about Sams skills and yours as well. Can't wait to see what you are going to do with kit later on!

Oh man, those micro DT wheels are just a TINY bit too wide. If those tires were like 4mm less wide they would look AMAZING.

Great work on the panhard! I would assume you have CMS in mind next then. Can't wait to copy *ahem* I mean see what you come up with. Great work!

That looks great! I don't like the Ford body at all, but the Jeep body looks great.

Thanks fellas!
Tires will be getting narrowed up just waiting on my ic2000 to show up. Going to be half the width.

Agreed on wheels. Nice job narrowing wheels and tires, looks almost like military tread.

Hey Chev...I started building mine last night and got the axles and links completed before my fingertips wore out. It seems like the ball ends and links are very snug. Is there anything that needs to be done to free up the suspension or do you think it will wear in over time?

A trick used to loosen up linkage on helis is to squeeze the links with pliers. Obviously tiny little pliers or maybe tweezers on these...

Yes, he said squeeze the balls.

I'd leave 'em stiff... ;)

They help damp down the lightweight shocks and make the recoil more realistic.

Far better than the F-150's loose balls and pistons...

Hey chev...how did you have to modify the DT wheels to fit them on the tiny jeep?

The rear micro dt wheels will thread right onto the orlandoo shafts. A drop of ca where the nut would be keeps them locked in.

Finally got some paint & detail work done she is almost finished!
