| HBX devastator, FTX ibex wheels
So I bought a couple of these for the kids way back, they weren’t that interested so they went in one of my drawers. Anyway a while ago I fitted miclaws to one and got rid of the springs, it now looks like this So the miclaws are mounted to chopped losi micro crawler rims As you can see no rings fitted... So I thought why not put the ones from the hbx wheels on And in doing this I discovered they are actual bead lock rims so I tried a few tyres, the miclaws wouldn’t fit and the Mickey Thompson’s were to small, the new RC4WD Goodyear wranglers and Milestar Patagonia’s do though Now the wheels are a bit wider than the standard losi rims but the tyres do fit with a slight stretched look to the sidewalls. Here they are in comparison to Mickey Thompson’s on the front of my losi micro And here are the wheels compared Anyway it’s just something I discovered and thought I’d share, I wasn’t expecting them to be genuine bead locks at so am fairly impressed, will I use them? I don’t know yet but just thought I’d mention it in case it hadn’t been brought up before. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

That stretched and poked look is a thing in Hawaii. https://www.google.com/search?q=hawa...iw=375&bih=553 |

I put a RockSta wheel in a Scrambler last night. They’re taller and wider than a regular Losi Micro wheel. |

Yeah I saw that, those rocksta wheels look huge in comparison, I wanted to get a set of scramblers but they seem to be sold out everywhere I’ve looked unfortunately. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Yeah that would look mean I think they would suit a 1/20 build a bit better, I’ll fit them to my old beat up twin cab Silverado and see how they look on that, it’s 1/24. I do have a single cab 1/20 yota body lying around that I never finished years ago maybe pull that out. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
