Has anyone seen one of these converted into a little monster truck or mud truck? With the all metal drive line it seems like it could take a little bit of brushless power. You'd probably have to run wheel wideners on them so they wouldn't hit the axle but I wonder if you could run something as big as a 1.55 tire? although, converting the hex to the proper size would be tough. right now I run some custom made 1/25 monster truck wheels on a trekker and they're decent but have no grip since they're that model plastic kind of compound. has anyone seen a project like this? I'd love to see some pictures or videos if so. I've read through the threads about this little guy on this forum but I haven't seen anything. |

more than easily do-able. if you're looking for a grippy tire, look into the MEGA-TREADS toy trucks. better than firm model truck tires for sure. |

I'm also wondering about fabricating a mini version of the burly mud truck conversion ( RcBros Burly Mud Truck Conversion ) piece but for this guy. might be a cool little project.

There’s no reason you couldn’t. I’ve made a couple micro mega mud trucks using both Losi and Redcat axles, so there’s no reason you could not just use RC4WD axles.

that's a sick truck! were those the tractor wheels made by MG Crawler? I think that was his name anyways. I have a brushless 1/25 monster truck that I made that's basically a brushless outrunner motor linked up to a trekker with redcat axles. I'm a little afraid to bash with it though. I was thinking the rc4wd is a little more solid as it looks like it's all metal parts everywhere and could probably handle the power and take a bit of a beating. I also like the hard bodies on them. They look good and seem like they can take some action too. |
